How to Bake Your Empanadas

Baking 1–2 Empanadas? Bring your oven or air-fryer to 220–230 ºC with the fan option, if your oven supports that.

Baking 3 or more Empanadas? Crank it up to 250 ºC.

Once your oven has reached its temperature, put your Empanadas on an oven tray with baking paper and place them in the middle position of your oven.

Baking more than 4 Empanadas? Allow the tray with Empanadas to rest on the counter while the oven is warming up (approx. 15 minutes). This helps to avoid a drastic temperature drop when you put them in — they’ll still be yummy though 😊.

Idea: If you’d like a glossy finish, whisk an egg and brush it gently over the Empanadas before baking. This step is not necessary, but it makes them shine and beautifully tanned 😎.

Leave your Empanadas baking for at least 14 minutes.

  • Empanadas Medium: usually ready between 14–17 minutes
  • Empanadas Grande: usually take a bit longer, up to 18 minutes

Bake your Empanadas until they reach the golden-brown colour you love.

Ideally, let them rest for 5 minutes before eating. Then enjoy! 🧡
